Magnetic Level Gauges on the principle of communicating vessels; therefore, the level in the measuring tube is equal to the level in the tank.

Magnetic switches make it possible to generate an additional signal; for example, by using multiple switches, you can set up a pump control system and/or generate a high/low alarm signal. 

A transmitter can be used to generate a 4–20 mA signal. The transmitter is mounted along the entire length of the magnetic level gauge.
